Implants
Dental implants can be a great solution for replacing a missing or heavily damaged tooth as they look, feel and function just like a tooth.
Whilst the procedure may sound invasive (and slightly scary), it is completely painless due to anaesthetic. Our dentist is able to discuss the possibility of sedation with you if this is something you would prefer.
You will first need to have a consultation with our dentist. The dentist will determine if you are a suitable candidate for this treatment by assessing your oral health and bone quality by checking over your
x-rays. There are a number of other factors which may also need to be considered.
The next stage is having your dental implant fitted, a temporary tooth can also be fitted if the gap is visible. The implant is left to integrate for around 12 weeks until your next appointment.
At your next appointment, the dentist will check and confirm if the implant has successfully integrated and the permanent crown / tooth is placed.
Implants can last a life time when cared for and maintained properly.
A dental implant costs approximately $6,000, this cost can vary depending on a range of factors which our dentist will discuss with you at your consultation.
