Crowns are typically used to rebuild broken teeth or those that have been heavily filled and are therefore at risk of cracking or breaking. A dental crown will hold together the remaining structure of your tooth.
We use CEREC technology to build our crowns.
CEREC, also known as CERamic REConstruction, uses Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology alongside an advanced camera to create exact 3D models of your teeth. These digital 3D models are used to develop precisely sized porcelain crowns (or fillings) by measuring the depth of the crater in the tooth.
As the first dental practice in Australasia to use this technique, we have perfected this technique over the last 15 years to create the best-fitting fillings for our patients.
Our crowns, with proper care typically last for 30 years.
We are able to perform this procedure in one day, in a single 1-2 hour appointment.
*Excluding orthodontic treatment.
