This site has lots of information on all sorts of stuff that you won't read on any other NZ dentists site [including some Richard Brautigan poetry!]. So there's lots of reading here - and its not so boring if you want to know about teeth [especially orthodontics] or jaws or snoring. And we really don't care if you never come near our office - the intention of our site is to turn you into a dentally educated person. And then if you still want to come to our office - and provided you aren't wearing studs or rings in your lips or tongue, and provided you are prepared to pay for the quality dentistry we provide - then we will probably let you in. And if you have to wait a bit, then our waiting room has a reasonable collection of not too old magazines [the patients' favourite is "Cowboys and Indians"] and we do a mean coffee. Our site has lots of information for you about our dental practice.If you haven't visited us yet, you may not know that we are a bit different from most dental offices - we not only carry out a full range of restorative and cosmetic dentistry plus full hygienist services, but also we have a special interest in orthodontic treatments and in treating people with jaw joint disorders and those who have airway or snoring problems. Sarah Cole and Bernard Emerre are our dentists who do all the filling and cosmetic stuff. Between them they have over 75 years of experience, both in New Zealand and in England. Bernard has also owned a dental office in Germany and has worked in Canada. John Burford and Nic Anderson are the dentists who do the orthodontic and TMJ treatments. If you are here and they aren't, its probably because they are taking courses or lecturing at conferences in some part of the world. We consider it is essential to keep current with the always changing knowledge and techniques for these fields of dentistry As well, we work in probably the best looking dental office in the country. Designed by brilliant Auckland architect Barney Milic who worked with Michael Unthank, an architect and dentist who lives in Nebraska in the USA, the office has a welcoming and relaxing ambiance unusual in this profession But here's a warning - if you don't want to go to a dental office where people are smiling or laughing and generally having a good time - and that includes both staff and patients - then don't come to us. We enjoy our work - and sometimes it shows. We don't apologise for this. We are here to make our patients look good and feel good and that makes us feel good and look good as well!
